Eco-education & Resources Centre

Founded in 2002, “Eco-education & Resources Centre” comprises experts, academics, students and enthusiasts. The organization aims at promoting eco-education. Through different channels, concept of ecological conservation is conveyed to the general public by which knowledge and awareness is raised, and this ultimately drives environmental protection. There has been recent upsurge in the effort to develop eco-tourism locally by various sectors including governmental departments, non-governmental organizations, universities, scholars and many other organizations. However, outcomes are often not encouraging.

The structure of “Eco-education & Resources Centre” is different from other environmental protection department. Proceeds from the mother-company “Ecotour Company Limited” fund the running cost of “Eco-education & Resources Centre” which is used for preparing exhibits, undertaking scientific research, providing training to eco-tourism guides, also conducting exhibits and seminars to primary, secondary and tertiary institution. We have been receiving increasing support and recognition from other “green groups” and enterprises, and there has been soaring number of staff in these enterprises in joining our activities including seminars, exhibits and scientific research. This represents a significant boost to effort into eco-education in Hong Kong .
